The Art of Enlightenment
Learn the meaning and beauty of Buddhist ritual and art in our new series, "The Art of Enlightenment." These hands-on classes are open to anyone and are held on the following Sundays from 12-3pm at the Center in Baltimore. You don't need to have any artistic skill to attend! Simply drop into any class. All classes are free.
Torma Making - Sunday November 30, 12-3pm
Learn the traditional way to make tormas for the Center's meditation rooms. Tormas are made out of marzipan, an almond paste that's also used to make sweets. Torma offerings are a great way to take something that we have great attachment for, food, and transform it into a beautiful and powerful offering to the Buddhas!
Mantra Rolling - Sunday December 7 and Sunday December 21
The Center is purchasing a new 4-foot Buddha statue for the main shrine. Help us to roll mantras that will be placed in the statue. By doing so we can accumulate merit for as long as the statue exists.
Subject is TBD - Sunday January 11th and 19th and February 1st and 22nd
